Jaimie Healy

Jaimie Healy uses the language of abstraction to express subtle feelings and to explore philosophical and spiritual concepts. She often presents paintings and sculptures together in installations that highlight formal and expressive relationships in poetic ways. Healy's paintings consist of abstract shapes and washes of color that overlap and penetrate the space of the canvas, Her sculptural objects, which are made with a variety of media, including found objects and plaster, often appear fragmentary and sometimes are barely legible as art objects. Her work seeks at once to express and invite viewers to tune into deeper layers of knowing and feeling.
